The Role:
Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced real-time financial news Editor to join the EMEA Markets team.
The Editor will produce breaking news stories under real-time deadline pressure, ensuring they are clear, comprehensive and accurate. The successful candidate will have proven experience of editing for a financial newspaper or news service, and will be prepared to coach reporters on sourcing, access, interviewing, writing, accuracy and clarity. The candidate should be able to show examples of work that highlights superior editing of breaking news stories and features.
Requirements:
- Journalism experience is essential
- Experience of working in a real-time news environment in desirable
- Proven experience of editing financial and markets news is essential
- Ability to coach reporters on sourcing, interviewing and writing.
