Aftermarket Services Engineer Singapore Vollzeit JR6086033 Stellenbeschreibung The Services Technology Engineer will lead technology initiatives with knowledge and expertise on the development of new inspections, processes, and analysis methods for engine overhaul and component repair capabilities in Rolls-Royce MRO shops. The candidate will need to comprehend stakeholder requirements, and work closely with our Research Partners in region to evaluate potential solutions and deliver them on time. The candidate is expected to demonstrate understanding in disciplines of stress, materials and/or aerodynamics in support of deployment of new capability of the full product life-cycle. The Repair Engineering position will functionally report to the Customer Service Centre, CSC in Singapore and Services Engineering, SE headquarters in UK. The candidate will support the engineering initiatives and projects in providing component and overhaul repair services for Civil Aerospace in the region. They will gain an intimate knowledge of the Gas Turbine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) process and help support the overhaul bases in the APAC and Greater China Regions. The Services Engineer will report to the Customer Service Centre in Singapore and Services Engineering team in the UK, to provide world-class technical support for in-service/delivered products and to influence maturity throughout the product life cycle to meet customer and business needs, ensuring design Intent is met. They help ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective product attributes are defined and maintained by means of through life modelling of product reliability, deterioration mechanisms, costs and help implement robust & cost effective solutions. Key Accountabilities All our candidates are expected to: Resolve problems through evaluative judgements. Analyses factual information from multiple sources, interprets results and identifies effective solutions by applying their own technical knowledge, expertise and engineering judgement. Be responsible for defined technical packages of work providing leadership and delivery against programme milestones within agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements. Understand company business objectives and ensure that the work they do supports this; To act in accordance with both the company values and those associated with being a professional engineer. Actively promote, encourage and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team. Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications (used by OEM, build/maintenance bases and customers) including acceptance limit development Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports) to platform provider, regulators, customers, internal stakeholder Use aftermarket data and carry out continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience activities, feeding back into future programmes and product design teams The successful Services Technology or Repair Engineer will be expected to: Work closely with other Rolls-Royce functions and customers (overhaul bases and component repair business units) to identify and implement new repair development and/or cost reduction projects. The successful Services Technology candidate will be required to continue to establish the working relationships with the repair and technology facilities in region to identify opportunities for cost reduction, new repair processes and technologies. The successful Repair Engineering candidate may be trained and assigned as Repair Engineering Competent Author (CA) responsible for the development of technical repair documents to support the engine programs and meet the design and regulatory requirements. Support the overall CSC & Services Engineering strategies in region including the growth of repair capabilities and activities. The successful Services Engineer will be expected to: Provide technical support to help resolve technical queries and operational arisings Lead Investigation of operational issues to establish root cause Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions Provide technical surveillance and continuous product enhancement for customer satisfaction and business expectation. Manage any issues that effect the Maturity, Lifecycle Cost, Reliability and Maintainability and maintain Design Intent. Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal & external stakeholders. Key Experiences and any Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience. An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking to a range of technical problems. Proficient IT skills, basic Microsoft office suite ability Ability to work independently on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous as well as part of a team Additional specific skills that are of benefit Ideally experience with big data analytic tools like Tableau/PowerBi/Matlab or other programming expertise Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks is ideal.
