Component Project Manager for optical bonding (m/f/diverse) Apply now Component Project Manager for optical bonding (m/f/diverse) Description With this role you will be part of Application Engineering Hardware Optics and Display Technology (AE HW OPDT) team in the business unit User Experience (UX) and work in an international team being involved in a wide product range with different display sizes and different customers working with the latest technologies on the market.For development of display instruments of vehicles, the bonding of cover substrate (glass or plastic) to the display with the correct optical adhesive is of large importance, which is called optical bonding. This is one of the main technologies to fulfill design and optical customer requirements.For our location in Babenhausen, you will be part of a development team for display technologies. For this we are looking for a specialist (m/f/diverse) in the field of optical bonding, who will be involved in application engineering teams and also process development in series production.In your day to day job you will: Take on the responsibility and develop optical bonding concepts and cooperate with international teams Coordination and tracking of internal and external development partners Cooperate and support innovation projects Plan and perform all relevant optical and functional tests Lead international technical supplier discussions Analysis of sample failures Process development for series production with suppliers Qualifications Preferable university degree in an engineering field like optical technologies or comparable field of study Experience in automotive development Experience in optical systems, preferable optical bonding Good to have knowledge of specific optical components and technologies (e.g. displays, optical films, LEDs etc.) Good to have a chemical basis knowledge Good MS Office skills Capability to analyze technical problems Very good written and spoken English language skills Very good communication skills High quality awareness Team player, willing to offer and receive support Capability to take initiative Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
