Are you ready to shape the future with us?In your new role your tasks will be:Support Servers and underlining Infrastructure:Supporting, installing, and configuring VMware ESXi in an enterprise environment, from design through implementation and support Supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows/Linux environment, from design through implementation and support Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records Scheduling and performing installations and upgrades in accordance with established policies and procedures Researching on existing and emerging hardware and software technologies to determine capabilities and develop ongoing computer systems solutions that meet performance and budgetary requirements Providing guidance and assigning tasks to associate server engineers Collaborating with network team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes Monitoring and testing system performance as well as preparing and delivering system performance statistics and reports Data Protection:Developing, designing and operating data protection and disaster recovery architectures to secure company data for all locations globally Cloud:Supporting and managing servers and workloads running in Azure/AWS Qualifications Academic degree in information technology or comparable qualification Several years of working experience in above mentioned areas Extensive experience working in large-scale enterprise infrastructure/systems environment Experience with planning, implementation and administration of VMware based solutions at the enterprise level Thorough knowledge of current Windows and Linux based operating systems as well as system patching both Working knowledge of storage protocols Fiber/iSCSI/eSATA connectivity to switch or directly to storage system and SAN/NAS devices Working and technical knowledge of modern backup applications, cloud-based solutions and D2D technologies Scripting skills with Powershell and Linux scripting languages such as shell scripting and Perl are desirable Business fluent German and good English language skills (written and spoken) Ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels of the stakeholder throughout the organization Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence Willingness to travel (approx. 20 %) Please submit your application documents in English.Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
