ROLE INFORMATION As a (Junior) Python Developer in the HANA QA Infrastructure team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated people. The main programming language is Python. You will join the team in designing, developing, and improving the HANA build- & test infrastructure to run in the cloud as well as on-premise. You will need the desire for driving automation at every level of our development process. We expect you to continuously research new technologies and development procedures and translate your findings into valuable improvements towards the future architecture of the overall infrastructure. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science Very good Python skills Very good Linux/Unix knowledge Strong problem-solving skills Experience with SQL Good knowledge of software architecture Ability to work well in close teamwork across international locations Fluent German and English both spoken and written A plus would be experience with: Container technologies (Docker, Rkt) Cloud computing / orchestration (Mesos, Kubernetes, Terraform) Cluster storage (Ceph, GPFS, Amazon S3) Automated configuration management (Ansible, Salt) C++ knowledge WORK EXPERIENCE We are looking for candidates with first relevant work experience in development ABOUT THE TEAM The HANA QA Infrastructure Team is in charge for developing and operating the platform and applications to support the fully automated SAP HANA development process.
