Post Doc for Artificial Intelligence in Small Molecule Design (m/f/d) limited for 3 years Frankfurt am Main Vollzeit R2610701 The Integrated Drug Discovery team is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellowship candidate with a particular passion for Artificial Intelligence in drug discovery. The successful candidate will work in interdisciplinary teams to drive the use of artificial intelligence through the development of the necessary technologies that enable researchers to gain new insights into the successful compound discovery and optimization. This exciting Postdoctoral Fellowship position will afford a talented scientist the opportunity to translate their data-integration and analytical abilities into novel actionable hypotheses and publications. The candidate will also join the Global Sanofi Postdoctoral program and community in which there are opportunities for networking, learning, career development and mentorship. Key Responsibilities: Advancing artificial intelligence technologies in the field of drug discovery Develop machine learning approaches for the discovery and design of novel drug molecules in low data regimes Leveraging artificial intelligence methods in combination with computational chemistry technologies to the successful discovery of novel drug molecules Collaborate with wet-lab and computational scientific teams and help the group to champion projects from discovery to clinical compound identification Required Qualifications: PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics and/or Computational Biology/Chemistry Proficiency in analyzing data with Python paired with programming and scripting skills Good knowledge of Linux/HPC and Cloud computing environments Good knowledge of application statistics and machine learning algorithms Knowledge of Computational Biology/Chemistry and drug discovery is a plus The ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, communicate clearly and effectively, and build open and collaborative relationships is essential Strong interest in chemistry and medicine and the desire for developing novel approaches for the discovery of drug molecules paired with an ability to liaise with scientists from multiple therapy areas helping to define and address biological questions Preferred Qualifications: Prior experiences in one or more of the following innovative technologies: machine learning, computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry, reinforcement learning, meta learning Ability to develop, benchmark and apply predictive algorithms on diverse datasets Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal and team skills Our offer: An international work environment, in which you can develop your talent and realize ideas and innovations within a competent team.
