Project Lead System Integration Testing (f/m/x)

At BMW Car IT, a wholly owned subsidiary of BMW AG, we live and breathe software. We design and implement embedded software for electronic control units of the BMW cars as well as related tools and frameworks. By delivering software all the way from the idea to the final product we lead BMW into the future of digitalization and mobility.

In our area of responsibility, we develop test strategies, test cases and also provide services for automated test solutions. We provide test result analysis and reports for our projects, ensuring proper software quality for the ECUs in our cars.

 

What awaits you?

  • You will work within system integration testing, whereby your main area of responsibility includes planning, steering, monitoring, coordinating, and aligning project requirement topics with all internal partners and within the team.
  • You will track and report progress and test results to stakeholders.
  • Together with a team of experts you will drive definition, implementation and execution of system integration software tests as well as needed enablers like processes, methods, tools, for the next generation of ECU projects, with a strong focus on automation.
  • You maintain an overview of the project goals derived from the requirements (in terms of time, resource, and quality plans as well as budget conditions), carrying out the planning of the resulting domain requirements and the coordination of them.
  • You will be responsible for organizing and leading roadmap and planning workshops, as well as coordinating refinements.
  • In your role you will be the central contact person for all internal and external interface partners, as well as for the overall project management.

 

What you should bring along?

  • University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
  • At least 6 years of experience in a technical lead role, ideally in the automotive world.
  • Very good understanding of modern software technologies, development and testing processes.
  • A passion for processes, methods and tools for the software validation area.
  • Hands on experience with agile methodologies like Scrum.
  • Ideally practical knowledge in applying test methods and tools according to the ISTQB standard (ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification would be beneficial).
  • Business-fluent English, German language skills are highly desired but not mandatory.
