Senior Editor (Portuguese and Spanish Fluency)

Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. Bloomberg News is seeking an experienced journalist to help run its Spanish-language and Portuguese editorial partnerships in Latin America from our Mexico City Office. This position requires dynamic and intuitive leadership, excellent stakeholder management, relationship development, and influencing skills. You should demonstrate knowledge and enthusiasm for financial markets, company news, international relations, the Latin American economy, and regional politics. You are able to make quick decisions in a real-time news environment and thrive under pressure. We are seeking a Senior Editor, reporting to the Executive Producer- Global Partnerships.

• Serve as the primary liaison between Bloomberg and its editorial partners in the region, including in Mexico and Brazil
• Ensure that partner content and Bloomberg-branded television, audio and digital content and live events meet Bloomberg's standards and follow the best journalistic practices
• Monitor the media partner's television production and operations, social media, digital content, website and app development
• Work with regional Bloomberg Bureau Chiefs to ensure the editorial priorities are maintained and content is shared as needed

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Fluent and native written and spoken English, Spanish and Portuguese
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and in person
• Experience communicating with senior executives
• At least five years' experience in news journalism; experience in business and financial news would be highly advantageous
• Experience working in or deep interest in Mexico, Brazil and the rest of Latin America
• A strong understanding of digital content, video and social media
• Flexibility with hours and travel
