It works on and coordinates transportation-related research topics on new vehicle concepts and vehicle technologies. In the research field of vehicle energy concepts, we deal with the identification and design of innovative approaches for future rail vehicles. Our research and development work aim to optimize rail transport both nationally and internationally. Institute of Vehicle Concepts is looking for a Master's student for the research field of vehicle energy concepts for the further development and investigation of control and optimization methods for virtual coupled platoon of trains.
Your mission is to research application of model predictive control for optimal control and coordination of a virtually coupled platoon of trains. To implement it and evaluate the performance.
