These systems comprise single-sensor as well as multi-sensors systems which use sensor fusion to create a comprehensive image of the vehicle surroundings. Worldwide regulations as well as customer ratings like NCAP are in the focus of our product development. Further comfort functions as part of assisted driving (SAE Level 2) enlarge the scope of our systems.As a Systems Engineer you are directly and essentially involved in the development of complex sensor network systems. The scalability and modularity of the different architectures is a key to success here. You meet this challenge through the usage of established methods of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Following aspects will be part of your future position: Development of sensor networks (including topology, interfaces and sensor / system redundancy) by analysing stakeholder requirements and defining the optimum system solution according to the ADAS roadmap and market needs Functional, logical and physical analysis and decomposition of sensor systems SysML based modeling of use cases, states, activities, decompositions, interactions and traceability of the requirements over different levels of system- and component development Derivation of design specifications for the next lower system level Alignment of the system architecture with safety and security ExpertsThis position can be located in Lindau, Ulm or Munich.
