THE ROLE Project "Piper" helps teams within and outside SAP to get their software changes out into the cloud - quickly and in a reliable manner. Its reusable capabilities support teams in developing, building, testing and deploying their cloud services in compliance to SAP's corporate standards. Depending on the use case and the prerequisites, "Piper" can be consumed in various flavors. "Piper" is "shared coded knowledge" which is collectively owned and is run as Inner Source project for SAP-specific parts and as Open Source project for parts which are also relevant to the SAP eco system. Get part of the SAP-internal team contributing to both the "Piper" InnerSource as well as the Open Source project. Get in touch with the end-users and also provide assistance through e.g. the SAP-internal Slack Work in a modern environment supporting SAP's developers on the journey to "you build it, you run it" with multiple deploys per day "Piper" is a core ingredient of SAP's Continous Delivery strategy and you will be able to contribute and take part in shaping its evolution. ROLE REQUIREMENTS You are curious, open minded and you like to experiment, learn and improve.Required skills You have an agile mindset and a "can do" attitude You like to share knowledge and assist/coach colleagues to help them to learn and improve. Degree in Computer Science or related field from university of applied sciences or similar level Experience in at least one programming language (Go, JavaScript, Java, ...) Strong quality & DevOps mindset Willingness to take over responsibility Fluent in English (written and spoken), German skills (preferable, but not mandatory) Preferred skills Hyperscalers (e.g. GCP) CI/CD orchestrator (like e.g. Jenkins, Tekton, ...) Docker, Kubernetes ABOUT THE TEAM The SAP Tools team is responsible for developing and running SAP’s central CI/CD development tools for SAP's developers.
