PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Public Services is one of the most critical cluster within the Industry & Customer Advisory organization. The customers in our industries (Public Sector, Post and Defense) are at the forefront of Digital Transformation and looking at SAP for driving growth and excellence. We are working closely together with our regional account teams, services, the Ecosystem, and all other teams within SAP to achieve best results for our customers. The SAP General Manager (f/m/d) has the overall business responsibility for this group of industries. Her/his key mandate will be to defend and expand our leading position in those industries through a continuous focus on innovation and thought leadership as part of SAP’s Intelligent Enterprise for Public Services strategy. For this the incumbent (f/m/d) will set the overall directly and strategy in close alignment with the other industry focused functions: i.e. Development (ICD), IBSO, Sales, Pre-sales, IVE, Services, and Marketing.
The Industry Business Units (IBUs) will report directly to the General Manager of Public Services (f/m/d).

The SAP General Manager of Public Services (f/m/d) will lead a team of executives and senior managers, and collaborate with other General Managers and key executives across SAP. It directly reports to the President of Industry & Customer Advisory.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Defines, plans, aligns, and executes the overall strategy and business plan for PS industries
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Minimum 15+ years’ experience in business leadership
