Our Corporate Headquarters, located in Richmond Hill, is looking for a Quality & Technical Intern in our Customer Support department starting May 6th, 2024. Reporting to the Manager, Technical Service you will be responsible for assisting in a variety of projects within the Customer Support department.   Special responsibilities include:   Direct & indirect support of BMW Group Retailers Review, creation, and update of service publications, including technical campaigns for Vehicle Compliance and extended warranties for Warranty Creation of periodical metrics based on service publication summary and service trends Maintaining special tools database and assisting with procurement and distribution to Retailers Manage special parts return process, working with Regional Aftersales Managers to achieve targets Maintain department equipment, technical work area and special tools. Departmental administration support. Attend technical meetings and keep track of minutes, technical topics Theoretical and practical technical applications Research information & prepare technical documents for internal & external parties (engineering, technical, suppliers, special cases - forensic investigations, legal, police department, etc.) Processing month end stop delivery block removal requests from Retailers (till midnight, possibly on weekends to match month end) Qualifications:   Pursuing a University degree in Engineering or other technical discipline (preferably entering final year) Prior automotive experience is preferred Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and multitask Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Well-developed written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in both independent and team environments Strong interpersonal skills Developed computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Basic level understanding of programming logic and HTML web page design is an asset Business aptitude is an asset English/ French bilingualism is an asset A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license is required Benefits of working at BMW Group Canada include: An award winning culture.
