ASIC Design Engineer (m/f/diverse) Apply now ASIC Design Engineer (m/f/diverse) Description As analog mixed signal design engineer (m/f/diverse) you specify, design, and implement functional circuit blocks to meet the specifications of an IC. You have the opportunity to work on Continental’s diverse innovative automotive applications and find optimized solutions for their specific needs. Special care must be taken during design to meet the stringent automotive requirements. Your tasks will focus on the following activities:Participation in feasibility studies for ASIC module functions and specification definition Definition of ASIC module functions and requirements based on system level requirements Design, simulation, and test of analog and mixed signal circuits Transistor level circuit design and design documentation Design validation and verification Development and documentation of test concepts and procedures Modelling of analog functionality in high level description language (SystemVerilog, VerilogAMS) based on requirement specification Development of logic code in high level description (VHDL, Verilog) based on requirement specification appreciated Collaboration with digital design, layout, verification, test and application teams and external suppliers Collaboration with an external semiconductor supplier to coordinate the architecture, review of its simulation and measurement results Collaborate with internal application and system teams to define requirements Qualifications Academic degree in electrical engineering, microelectronics, physics, or a similar degree Deep expertise in design, simulation and test of analog and mixed signal circuits using state of the art ASIC design tools (Cadence) Experience in designing for automotive applications and high-volume production processes Experience in analyzing and evaluating integrated circuits in lab environment Knowledge in semiconductor production processes (manufacturing, testing, failure analysis) Relevant design experience welcome Very good English language skills (written and spoken), advanced German language skills Planning and organizing skills Ability to take initiative and to communicate effectively, eagerness to grow and develop Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment Experience in one or more of following fields is desired:Analog drivers and power stages Frequency synthesis ESD protection Chip level modelling verification using SystemVerilog Logic design using VHDL or Verilog ASIC module function definition Experience in designing for automotive applications Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
