We are seeking a strong business intelligence engineer who can surface key insights from data. You will contribute to the long-term vision for the team, conduct data analyses, identify high-impact opportunities for predictive analysis and business experimentation, improve data integrity, create metrics that fill knowledge gaps, model and visualize data patterns, support data reporting needs, and analyze the quantitative impact of business experiments and innovations. Additionally, this role will be instrumental in the continued development of a reliable and scalable infrastructure for ongoing analytics and reporting in order to deliver actionable insights to business leaders. As a BI Engineer you will work with category managers to communicate insights to key stakeholders. You will not only execute on the required skills but also be able to influence, educate, and drive results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Key job responsibilities
Note: Job location is flexible and can be based in Munich, Berlin, London, Paris, Madrid, Milan or Luxembourg
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement reporting solutions enabling program and category manager to make effective decisions.
- Monitor existing metrics, develop and propose new metrics, and identify new, actionable insights.
- Develop, validate, and maintain recurring or ad hoc reports to ensure accurate up-to-date reporting using SQL, Excel and/or other scripting languages. Including conducting audits and building insightful visualizations using Tableau, QuickSight, etc.
- Basic understanding of statistical analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations based on data analysis.
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
