We are looking for an international “Chargepoint Engineer”! A role that combines hardware (network) management, supplier management, expert support to Operations teams and attendances in tender projects. You will support us in managing our hardware network.
 
In this position you will be working within the Emobility unit and are based in Berlin.

The Emobility unit has the task to
 
  • Grow Vattenfall’s business of electric vehicle charging solutions
  • Create a clear profile towards customers through distinguishing charging products and services
  • Have customer satisfaction levels of at least 8/10
 

Responsibilities
 
You will be responsible to ensure the availability and reliability of our Emobility products and services.
 
Main tasks and responsibilities include
  • 3rd line support expert to local Operations teams and/or our largest customers
  • Manage and maintain the quality of chargepoints in our hardware network
  • Structurally define requirements for improvements of asset management related system landscape. By doing so you strive for continues development to our system landscape, enabling yourself to become proactive and identify issues before they occur
  • Periodically report on the quality of our hardware network
  • Taking control of issues regarding hardware / firmware of chargepoints and SLA deviations, together with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage at least two of our hardware suppliers
  • Testing of new hardware/software & continuously improving testing procedures
 
The Chargepoint Engineer reports to the Manager Hardware Network within Strategy & Product Development, and will closely cooperate with the operations colleagues, in the Netherlands, Norway, Germany and Sweden; and with product development teams.
 
Requirements
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on engineer to join our team. Furthermore you match the following requirements:
  • At least a relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant working experience at least 3 years (e.g. from the e-mobility, smart energy or consumer electronics industries)
  • Experience in embedded systems or electrical engineering
  • Experienced in working with/in operations teams
  • Analytical, problem solver, negotiator
  • Crisis management skills
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). German and/or Swedish is a plus.
  • Team player and strong communication skills
  • Commitment and willingness to take own initiative and be hands-on
  • Availability of 5 days per week
  • Willingness to travel within Europe at least 1x per month
