If yes, this role will enable you to develop yourself in this exciting area. As a member of the Kyma security team you will take part in training developers, auditing code, threat modelling, patching vulnerabilities, improving the experience of the developers in fixing security problems, being part of our “shift-to-left” efforts that would empower developers to deal with security problems sooner and more effectively. More precisely, you will: Write code for the security area (tools, scripts, dashboards, etc.) Present security topics and provide trainings for developers Coach developers to write more secure code Help the development teams to resolve vulnerabilities Stay tuned with topics related to security in open source, cloud and Kubernetes contexts ROLE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent; alternatively being a recognized expert in the field Good programming skills in one (or more) of the languages: Python, JavaScript, Go, Java; OOP knowledge is required Basic knowledge of security engineering: web application security, vulnerability assessment and secure coding practices Basic knowledge on containerization (Docker) and ideally on orchestration (Kubernetes) Good communication skills, fluent in English Willingness to learn new technologies and the security domain in an Open-source environment WORK EXPERIENCE 3+ years of relevant software development experience About the Kyma team Our team is responsible for developing the Open Source project Kyma as well as “SAP Business Technology Platform, Kyma runtime” based on the open source project. Kyma is based on Kubernetes and offers users a modern way to extend and integrate their applications with the cloud-native world. It also provides the capabilities to build fully distributed, highly scalable, microservices-based custom solutions leveraging standard OSS Cloud Native Foundation technologies, enabling software development or IT organizations to be more efficient and effective.
