To support this business and its growth, we seek a Finance Manager (FM) for the AWS Europe North region. In this business partner role, the FM will work in a dynamic team, with the opportunity to make a true impact on the business. The FM will partner closely with business leaders and their teams, providing strategic support by combining data and business judgement into insights, generating operational and strategic guidance and impact. Further, the FM will drive innovation to improve our tools, processes and business decisions. Primary responsibilities include:
Key job responsibilities
• Ownership of key reporting metrics (KPI’s) and narratives to help business partners understand the business performance
• Partner with business teams to implement new processes & tools and drive the improvement of existing processes & tools
• Provide strategic support to key business initiatives and investment
• Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
• Drive short- and long-term financial planning
• Tighten internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
