What will you be doing?

Experience Designers are responsible for the design of digitally-enabled products and services. They use their skillset across interaction design, visual design and technology to create holistic solutions, from early-stage idea generation to detailed design of product features and prototypes. 

You will support teams on client-facing projects, pitches and internal initiatives. You will learn by doing, with guidance from experienced practitioners who will help you understand frog’s methodologies and deliver high-quality work in the context of interdisciplinary projects. 

Project teams rely on Experience Designers to:

  • Analyse and benchmark existing solutions, identify gaps or pain points, and map opportunity spaces
  • Understand user needs, market opportunities, business requirements, and technical feasibility to help define project requirements
  • Conduct and synthesise foundational research interviews and usability testing sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create digital product experience concepts that push the bar for quality in a given field
  • Create digital design artefacts (user flows, UI mock-ups, and prototypes) that demonstrate product behavior for defined use cases and features, including products in the GenAI space 
  • Execute on detailed design concepts using strong interaction logic, argumentation, and visual language 
  • Support successful handover of project outcomes to the client through persuasive presentations and thorough documentation
  • Apply holistic critical thinking and see beyond one discipline or workstream

We want you to have:

  • Business level fluency in English and German
  • Recently completed a university degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communications, HCI, or a related design discipline (we also accept interns who are in the middle of a Masters degree)
  • Strong foundational design skills in typography, color theory, layout and visual hierarchy
  • Proficiency in digital design and prototyping tools, specifically Figma (our core design tool) and with attention to detail in component design with consistent execution – structure, padding etc.
  • Knowledge of interaction patterns across mobile/desktop platforms and experience defining product logic through site maps, user flows, wireframes, etc. 
  • Knowledge of prompting (Gen)AI tools to iterate on ideas and incorporate them into your design and problem-solving workflow
  • Experience applying established brand guidelines and working with Figma UI component libraries
  • Ability to rationalise your decisions effectively and present your work clearly, through strong presentation design and storytelling techniques
  • A product development mindset, including openness to collaborating with business and tech teams, working iteratively based on user feedback, technical constraints, etc.
  • Willingness to jump between different client challenges and up-skill quickly onto new projects
  • Affinity with frog’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples’ functional and emotional needs

Experience Designers at frog tend to have a specialisation alongside digital product design – It would be a bonus if you had any one of the following:

  • Experience designing, building and prototyping a (Gen)AI product – knowledge of LLM capabilities, constraints, and considerations for AI products
  • Experience building or managing a design systems for digital products – experience of building a Figma component library, creating style guide and leveraging design tokens, Token Studio
  • Experience in 2D motion design - animating or editing using After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro  
  • 3D modelling and 3D motion design using Blender, Rhino, Unity, Keyshot etc. to showcase product and experiential stories to clients
  • Experience in branding, crafting brand narratives, brand experiences and brand strategy, building a corporate identity or physical branded interactions
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and eco-design principles
