Due to the strategic realignment of the Coatings business unit, a dedicated Legal, Compliance & Insurance department is being established. This presents an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the Legal, Compliance & Insurance organization from its foundation.   - As Head of the global Compliance Office, you lead the development, implementation and execution of the global compliance strategy for the Coatings division, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and legal & compliance requirements. 
 - You lead the Compliance Office Coatings, report to the General Counsel, developing and enforcing policies including processes that enhance compliance.
 - Furthermore, you manage governance matters of the Coatings division including governance-related platforms and a variety of governance-related initiatives and projects.
 - Together with your team, you closely collaborate with the global network of compliance officers of the legal entities of the Coatings division, support them with guidance and take-over of case-handling in important cases and coordinate the community management.
 - Lastly, you oversee and give compliance advice in different expertise areas (e.g., sanctions, anti-corruption, criminal and data protection law) and manage as well as coordinate the global training and awareness program for compliance within the Coatings division.
 
 WHAT YOU OFFER
- law degree (German first and second state examination) with minimum 10 - 15 years of professional experience and with minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in compliance in an international company, ideally in international manufacturing environments
 - ideally, leadership experience and deep expertise in the areas of compliance including sanctions, anti-corruption, criminal law, and data protection law
 - teamplayer with strong communication skills in German and English (additional languages are a plus) as well as excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills
 - strategic, solution-oriented, and resilient with a proactive and hands-on mentality and a excellent ability to network and collaborate, organized and detail oriented
 - committed to compliance advisory and enforcement, with sound judgment and openness to diverse perspectives as well as value-based driven with demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic environment and work well with people from diverse demographics
 - ability to pragmatically and concisely communicate complex compliance issues to non-lawyers and all levels of personnel and management
