    Tasks

    Position overview

    The position will support the tax Internal Control Process special projects, income tax compliance and tax provision for all Porsche North American entities. The position will also support income tax audits.

    Roles & responsibilities

    Primary responsibilities:

    Tax Internal Controls

    • Support and administer the Tax Compliance Management System (CMS) Volkswagen AG VWAG program supported in IMPERO system.
    • Support and Administer the Tax Internal Control System (ICS) Porsche AG (PAG) program supported in the Risk Radar system.
    • Support, develop and administer policies, procedures and internal controls related to CMS and ICS.
    • Annual risk recording and testing in Risk Radar for ICS.
    • Annual updating and testing of the Tax CMS Master Control Catalog (MCC).
    • Semi-annual IMPERO response for all legal entities in US and Canada.
    • Quarterly Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR).
    • Develop quarterly audit program for internal controls and targeted tax compliance activities (Tax internal audit function).
    • Monthly audit of sales tax filings.
    • Support and administer the annual review of tax directive.
    • Develop and maintain tax process documentation.

    Income Tax Compliance and Tax Audit Support:

    • Support government audits as needed.
    • Support corporate and partnership tax return compliance for US and Canada

    Tax Accounting:

    • Support quarterly IAS12 calculation for North American consolidated group.
    • Support of quarterly tax provision including preparation of the quarterly internal and external financial reporting disclosures as well as the continuing documentation of tax positions pursuant to FIN 48 (IFRIC 23).

    Tax Research, Audits and Special Projects:

    • Technical memos, audits and projects as they arise.
    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA required, MST a plus.

    Experience:

    • 4 - 6 years of income tax and internal control experience including a combination of public accounting firm and large corporate tax department.
    • Excellent personal computer skills required Excel, Word, Onesource, tax research software, and BNA tax analyzer. SAP experience a plus.
    • Familiarity with BIC Process Design, and or Visio software program experience preferred.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Excellent organizational skills required with an ability to meet highly detailed reporting requirements.
    • Willingness to learn new systems and areas outside of income tax.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • The ability to clearly communicate complex topics to non-tax professionals.
    • This individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work openly within a team. It is important to foster good working relationships in all areas of the company as well as with outside professional firms and state agencies.
