This is a full-time internship position for our Summer Rotation, from June 3, 2024 through August 16, 2024 in Columbus, OH. The Data Scientist - IT Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of functions and responsibilities across the department. The intern will attend daily/weekly standups and showcase progress and successes to stakeholders. They will also work on AI/Data Science and Innovation use cases and serve as IT operations with reference to AI. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with business partners and IT departments to understand company needs and develop possible solutions Keep up to date with latest technology trends Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers Support implementation of new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design Facilitate organization aspects of data and analytics symposium (Internal analytical community event) Assist the lead data scientist within the department with process and tools to build and monitor AI models Visualize key business data and key performance metrics Support with IT operations Join the BMW North America team and enjoy a high-performance Total Rewards package that may include: Medical InsuranceAll with options for $0 Employee contribution Paid Time Off in addition to Company paid holidays where eligible Hybrid work environment The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $26.00The hourly rate for Graduate students is $32.00The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate.
