Internship - AI-based Mobile Robotics / AI Lab Berlin Apply now Internship - AI-based Mobile Robotics / AI Lab Berlin Description As part of the central advance development for artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile robotics, we are responsible for developing innovative technologies that address the advancement of the technical capabilities of driving mobile robots in changing environments. Potential applications include last mile delivery, mobility solutions for smart cities, and other future urban transportation applications. You will work in a dedicated, innovative team of Continental employees and students. As part of our AI Lab in Berlin, your tasks as an intern will comprise the following:Work with our local project team on the deployment of our last mile delivery robot Corriere on our test sites and in public in Berlin Setup up and configure our AI-based autonomous navigation software stack as well as the teleoperation on our real-world robots Test and evaluate our robot Corriere under real-world conditions with respect to defined criteria such as safety measures Adapt existing and develop new functionalities for our AI-based software stack and cloud services Apply your knowledge to real-world robotics applications hands-on Be an active member (m/f/diverse) of our young research focused team of students, Ph.D. students and Ph.D.s at our AI Lab Berlin Qualifications Studying for a degree in computer / electrical / electronic / mechatronic / mechanical engineering / computer Ssience or other MINT discipline Knowledge in at least one of the following fields: machine learning, computer vision, navigation, localization/mapping, control theory and dynamics or optimization Programming experience in, e.g., Python, C++, Rust, Matlab or other Experience with real-world systems, ideally in robotics, is a plus Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS) is a plus Very good communication skills in German and English language (written and spoken) Self-directed and able to work without supervision Energetic and eager to learn Ability to work in a team and intercultural skills Please remember to upload your current university enrollment certificate as well as your current (preliminary) transcript of records since these are mandatory for processing your application.Applications from severely handicapped people are welcome.
