As the IT App Operations Engineer Lead, you will manage the availability, integrity and overall operations of applications and the related software and hardware infrastructure across several business areas and a multitude of IT products, to ensure continuity and achieve a high level of performance and availability. In this role, you will command knowledge in both managing solution stacks in on-prem/VM set-ups, as well as cross-functional cloud-native solution environments with IaaS components. You will frequently manage major incidents and proficiently create concise management updates on these for executives in business and IT, as well as external stakeholders (e.g., dealers), to make business continuity and mitigation decisions. You will be responsible for steering service providers across various IT products, domains and primes, and manage software providers, maintenance agreements, and license management accordingly. You will have the opportunity to ensure application operations excellence by supporting several business-critical applications in the Retail Application Management / Originations space. You will help maintain and elevate both Dealer and Customer satisfaction by ensuring the availability and performance of key applications that allow for the flow of new business into BMW Financial Services for the Americas region. The selected candidate’s education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. Qualifikation: Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or certifications. 7+ Years of demonstrated success in Information Technology, with at least:5+ Years in a senior level IT operations/engineering role 2+ Years specializing in IT Application Operations as a mid-level engineer. 1+ Years of experience participating in Agile projects. Demonstrated experience in operational vendor and partner management. Technically competent with various business applications across their full solution stack incl. infrastructure components and services. Knowledge of automotive business processes in retail and wholesale. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships in the business and Global IT organization. Preferences: 5+ years network infrastructure/operations 3+ years SQL Server. 3+ years of experience in Cloud based environments and cloud migration, user experience design and test-driven development, automated unit testing, continuous integration and deployment, rest API and other service-oriented architecture approaches. 1+ years cloud environments management/Iaas Operations.
