The Lufthansa Group Duty Manager is responsible for:

  • Establishing relationships with premium customers and facilitating the recognition of top customers
  • Conducting daily flight briefings with personnel where feasible
  • Contributing proactively to the development and modification of procedures, respecting defined carrier's rules and regulations
  • Collaborating with the Station Manager in mitigating conflicts of interest arising
  • Intervening in case of shortcomings and ensuring that service basics are adhered to by all providers
  • Coordinating logistical support of audits by carriers and respective authorities, and ensuring that implemented corrections are adhered to
  • Maintaining the local SERP and assuming the role of the Emergency Response Coordinator
  • Providing feedback to inquiries and reports

To excel in this role, you will need a combination of the following qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/Matric with tertiary education desirable
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in a passenger servicing and ramp handling role desirable
  • Fluency in English language required
  • German language desirable
  • Safety awareness & understanding
  • Strong people management & leadership skills
  • Passion for Customer centricity and service
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intercultural competence
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness
  • High level of professionalism in representing the LHG brand
  • Must be willing to work shifts
  • Namibian citizen or valid work permit required
