Paint Sprayer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Sprayer to join our MRO team specializing in aircraft landing gear. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation and application of protective and decorative coatings on aircraft landing gear components in accordance with OEM specifications, aerospace standards, and internal procedures.

The key responsibilities and duties of the Paint Sprayer include, but are not limited to:

  • Effectively manage workload to meet schedules and priorities, adapting as needed
  • Apply aerospace-grade sealants and paints per specifications and documentation
  • Accurately mix compounds, ensuring proper ratios and quality
  • Perform precise masking and surface prep before coating
  • Operate and maintain spray equipment, booths, and curing ovens
  • Monitor process parameters for optimal finish and efficiency
  • Follow environmental and hazardous material handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace per SHE regulations
  • Complete all required documentation, including PER books
  • Support training and mentoring of team members when qualified

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Engineering or similar apprenticeship preferred; GCSE-level education minimum
  • Proven paint spraying experience, ideally in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors
  • Knowledge of surface prep, coating systems, and quality control
  • Familiar with aerospace paint specs (e.g., chromate primer, polyurethane topcoat)
  • Able to read technical drawings and process instructions
  • Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and health & safety awareness
  • Organised, punctual, quality-focused, and flexible
  • Works ~37.5 hrs/week, including shifts (06:00–14:00 / 13:55–21:55) and occasional weekend overtime
  • Maintains a clean, 5S-compliant work area
