A PhD position held at TUM in the group of Prof. Barbara Kraus, which will give you access to the rich and inspiring research carried out there. You will develop new verification techniques for quantum computing systems. You will contribute to the testing and implementation of such methods for industrially relevant use cases in the areas of machine learning, optimization or numerical simulation. The research is driven by the current trend of industrialization of quantum technologies, and you will contribute towards that goal. The opportunity to attend international conferences, publish your results and create collaborations with other research partners. BMW mentoring, onboarding, and support in personal/ professional development. What should you bring along? An excellent Master's degree in physics, computer science, mathematics or equivalent. Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of quantum computing and quantum algorithms. Strong mathematical background. Experience with programming in the Python language and software version control (git) is expected. Knowledge of technical computing, machine learning, deep learning, and numerical simulation is a plus. Knowledge of qiskit, pennylane, cirq or other quantum computing related libraries is a plus.
