WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our Fungicide Drug Discovery Chemistry team works on inventing innovative sustainable crop protection active ingredients designed to meet farmers needs. From day one, you join a diverse, international and multidisciplinary team. You are trained on the job and supported by experts and newer team members to address challenging and exciting scientific goals.

• In your new role, your responsibilities include the synthesis of new active ingredients and the analysis of their properties and biological activity.
• You support the evaluation of multiparameter SARs based on predicted and experimental data, and the design of new compounds.
• Additionally, you get the opportunity to work, amongst others, with biologists, agronomists and modelers, and to present and discuss your research results in multidisciplinary teams.
• While accomplishing your tasks, you can continue to develop your technical and personal skills and gain experience as a scientist in an industrial setting.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• PhD in chemistry, medicinal chemistry or a related field along with profound knowledge in organic preparative synthesis
• experience abroad as well as in crop protection or pharmaceutical research are all an advantage but not essential
• excellent communication skills in English, willingness to learn German if required
• creativity, curiosity, openness, motivation, entrepreneurship and team-playing abilities to drive innovations
