The theory group in Hamburg pursues a wide research programme, including collider phenomenology (in particular Higgs physics, physics beyond the Standard Model, flavour physics, QCD, Monte Carlo generators), particle cosmology, axions and other nonstandard light particles, gravitational waves, string theory and mathematical physics.
The advertised position is part of the project "Multiparton interactions and higher-twist effects" of the DFG research unit FOR 2629 on "Next Generation Perturbative QCD for Hadron Structure". More information can be found on https://for2926.app.uni-regensburg.de.
- Participation in the above research project
- Analytical and numerical work in the areas of perturbative QCD, parton distributions, higher-twist effects, and multiparton interactions

- Ph.D. degree in physics or related fields
- Good knowledge of quantum chromodynamics
