AST is part of AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), which is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers. We work backwards from our customer’s most complex and business critical problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. Specialist teams include specialist sales and technical solutions architecture. As part of AST, you'll provide expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for AWS GenAI and AI/ML services in Germany. Sales Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for your AWS service(s).
You will be the direct business owner for assigned segments and accounts to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. You will align and influence GTM strategies and sales plays together with the EMEA Specialist Geo team, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities.
You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams and account managers to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue.

About the team
The Specialists Organization, within Amazon Global Sales Organization (AGS), positions AWS as the leading platform for GenAI and AI/ML workloads. We enable customers to become data-driven organizations and scale their AI capabilities. Working backwards from customer needs, we execute go-to-market plans as specialist sales and with our solution architect teams. As an AGS team member, you'll guide customers throughout their AWS journey, from new service ideation to accelerating adoption of established solutions. We think big, deliver exceptional results, and collaborate across AWS as #OneTeam.
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- german and english language skills
- AI/ML certificates or diploma
- Knowledge of Big Data businesses and technical concepts
- Experience of working with Technology Partners (Software Vendors, System Integrator) in the data & GenAI & AI/ML space
