Payments

Payments is a core product for Cash Management and one of the growth areas in Deutsche Bank’s strategy. In order to support the growth ambitions and to remain a leading global player in the competitive payments market, significant investment in the payment infrastructure of Deutsche Bank is applied.

The team is delivering set of key applications in Payment integration platform which are single entry point for all payments not only in Corporate Bank but across the entire Enterprise. Monthly processing volume of the applications is over €100 Billion of payment transactions across 42 countries from Europe, APAC and Americas.

As a Senior DBA Engineer (f/m/x) you will be responsible for providing the expertise part for design and infrastructure from both Oracle database and Java application side, sharing the expertise for several applications within the bank’s Payments domain. We have EXACC Oracle 19c with 1-10 Tb real data and 10-100 TPS avg for several different apps.

Your key responsibilities

• Design and develop new functionality. Coding and testing, reviewing other team member’s changes

• Active participation in the applications roadmap planning, driving the data/database changes and optimizations part of agenda

• Understanding data retention policies and regulations and developing the optimal data design solutions for it

• Helping in production issues resolution providing needed expertise, sharing the expertise with colleagues where applicable

• Working closely in touch with corporate DBA team

Your skills and experiences

• Proven Oracle DBA / Developer experience: Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Exadata. Certifications will be a plus

• Strong OOP and design patterns knowledge, expertise in understanding and writing Java code working with database. Solid knowledge of JDBC, Mybatis, Hibernate or Spring JPA

• Experience in monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries and identifying and resolving bottlenecks. Experience with AWR analysis. Experience in identifying performance issues for database.

• Good math and algorithms/complexity

• Hands-on experience in development of large-scale enterprise systems
