Commercial Banking Tribe

You’ll be joining the Commercial Bank Tribe, who is focusing on the special needs of the small and medium enterprise clients in Germany, a designated area for further growth and investment within Corporate Bank.

We are responsible for the digital transformation of ~800.000 clients in 3 brands, i.e. the establishment of the BizBanking platform including development of digital sales and service processes as well as the automation of processes for this client segment.

We are on a journey of an extensive digitalisation of business processes and to migrate our applications to the cloud. We are working jointly together with our business colleagues in an agile setup and we are collaborating with stakeholders and engineers from other areas thriving to achieve a highly automated and adoptable process and application landscape.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/x) you will be part of one of our Squads in our Products Tribe implementing digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank.

Your key responsibilities

• You work in one of our Squads in our Products Tribe and implement features for our digital sales processes for small and medium corporates within Deutsche Bank.

• You design, develop and document frontend and backend components which fulfil business requirements as well as technical requirements like observability, scalability, and stability/resilience.

• Based on your experience you take a leading role in your Squad, coaching and developing junior people and supporting team members to find solutions in case of any issues.

• You initiate and actively drive discussions with engineers, architects and other stakeholders designing sustainable solutions which fulfill both the business and the technical requirements.

• You are working in a cross disciplined agile team with shared responsibility and high autonomy and actively engage in the engineering community, share your knowledge, and build up a solid network.

Your skills and experiences

• University degree with technological or scientific focus or equivalent working experience.

• Several years of working experience in fullstack development. Strong proficiency in TypeScript with Angular, Node, Java and the Spring Boot framework adhering to high quality standards.

• GCP Knowledge and practical experience with development in public cloud environment including DevOps understanding. Experience with GitHub, Docker and Kubernetes.

• Profound knowledge of architectural concepts (esp microservices architecture) and experience in discussing them with diverse stakeholders. Practical experience in coaching junior engineers and close collaboration with developments teams to embed CI/CD practices into the software development lifecycle.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details, familiar with agile work and good team player. Good communication skills and fluent communication in English. German is a Plus.
