Description As a Product Designer for the Seller Experience space, you’ll be a part of eBay’s core design team. This role will envision and craft outstanding user experiences for the world’s largest online marketplace with over 135 million shoppers and 25+ million sellers. Using design creativity and user-centered design principles, you will work with cross-functional teams that are reinventing the social, mobile, local commerce landscape on a grand scale to and address exciting new business opportunities. Your responsibility in this role is to craft elegant and simple interfaces that solve complex interaction problems. Strong interaction design skills underpinned by strong visual design and content design skills are required for this role. An understanding of how to operate as a designer in a highly cross-functional environment is critical for this role. About you You’ll need strong attention to detail as well as an eagerness to tackle design problems at scale. You should be knowledgeable about our competitors, understand established design patterns and standards methodologies, but always feel the need to do better. You’ll make things elegant, beautiful, smart — and drive engagement and loyalty to eBay. We work across the product development cycle and pride ourselves for solving really big problems with design thinking. You will collaborate with our data, design, product and engineering teams and be responsible for creating ideas, communications, and interface for the sellers experience. *** PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION REQUIRED *** About the team and the role: As a Senior Product Designer on the Local Design team within Seller Experience, you’ll help evolve a critical part of how buyers and sellers connect on eBay—enabling local, in-person commerce that strengthens trust and community. Local buying and selling is a meaningful extension of the eBay marketplace, and this team plays a key role in shaping how buyers discover nearby inventory and how sellers connect with buyers to complete transactions in person. You’ll join a highly collaborative, cross-functional team focused on improving core parts of the local experience across platforms. The team is driving an ambitious, multi-year roadmap and is deeply invested in research-led design. In this role, you’ll contribute to ongoing discovery and experimentation efforts while taking ownership of key areas of the experience, helping translate insights into thoughtful, scalable solutions. This is an opportunity for a senior designer to influence direction, elevate design quality, and help define the future of local commerce on eBay.
