Are you a seasoned Technical Program Manager ready to drive innovations in cloud computing? EC2 Accelerated Nitro is seeking a Senior TPM to lead complex, high-impact programs that push the boundaries of what is possible with EC2.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the launch of new EC2 instance platforms and drive continuous improvements to their stability, performance, and customer experience. Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams, you will turn ambitious visions into reality through meticulous planning, stakeholder management, and flawless execution.

Utility Computing (UC) AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities
1. Lead cross-functional initiatives, collaborating closely with teams across hardware, software, network engineering, product management, operations, and more.

2. Partner with service owners to understand product roadmaps and drive new product introduction schedules.

3. Define deliverables, roadmaps, and documentation for ad-hoc projects and programs, anticipating bottlenecks and balancing business needs with technical constraints.

4. Communicate technical details clearly to product managers and senior leadership, earning trust and influencing teams without burning bridges.

5. Drive process and tooling improvements to increase visibility, throughput, and output quality across the organization.

The EC2 Accelerated Nitro team has a bold mission: leave no customer workload on-premises and build the most feature-rich virtualization in the cloud. The team develops new instance families powered by the latest hardware, enabling customers to run demanding workloads with unparalleled performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Simultaneously, the team enhances the Nitro virtualization system, pushing cloud computing boundaries through innovations in memory, security, and live migration, giving customers unprecedented flexibility, reliability, and control. The Accelerated Nitro team solves high-impact, technically complex challenges shaping the cloud's future.

GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN

- Experience in technical product or program management
- Experience in software development
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Exceptional English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to dive deep into complex technical topics and explain them with ease to diverse stakeholders.

BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN

- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
