The Deutsche Bank Chief Strategy Office (CSO) drives Deutsche Bank’s innovation strategy, thought leadership, technology partnerships, and investments. The team enables the bank to accelerate and drive business led innovation, and to deliver revenue growth and operational efficiencies for all bank divisions and Deutsche Bank ecosystem of partners.

The AI Services Tribe develops and delivers in production AI shared services that are scaled across the organization and deliver business value at scale.

We’re looking for a talented UI Frontend Engineer who’s passionate about creating intuitive, high-performance user interfaces and can turn complex AI capabilities into delightful user experiences.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive AI frontends using React, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS

• Build robust, scalable architectures with Webpack /Vite and NodeJS and ExpressJs

• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to create intuitive and efficient user experiences

• Implement and maintain REST APIs and WebSocket integrations for real-time interaction

• Write clean, testable code and maintain high test coverage using the React Testing Library

• Create reusable UI components and document them in Storybook

• Translate design prototypes e.g. from Figma into functional, pixel-perfect UIs

• Automate and streamline development workflows using CI/CD pipelines and GitHub workflows

• Ensure accessibility, performance, and adherence to UI/UX best practices

• Contribute to our continuous improvement culture by advocating for better tools, processes, and coding standards

• Deploy and maintain frontend components in Google Cloud environmentss

• Contribute to UI designs and engineering best practices as well as writing solution code ad assisting with UI-based test automation activities; Contribute to our catalogue of common assets such as code templates, libraries, utilities and services

Your skills and experiences

Must-have:

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to design and implement robust solutions

• Ability to work with predefined proprietary UI components library

• Proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS, React, and Webpack

• Experience with REST APIs and WebSocket

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design

• Testing experience using React Testing Library

• Proficiency with Figma for collaborating with designers

• Familiarity with CI/CD and GitHub workflows

• Hands-on experience deploying or integrating with Google Cloud

• Solid grasp of frontend security and performance considerations

Nice to have:

• Experience building UIs for AI/ML applications or data-heavy interfaces

• Experience with CSS Frameworks and Storybook

• Familiarity with AI model interaction patterns and agentic workflows
