In our Dangerous Goods & Customs classification unit, we ensure that our products can be transported worldwide in accordance with legal requirements. - In your new role, you are responsible for the correct customs classification of goods based on international regulations, product specifications and technical documentation, ensuring global trade compliance.
- You contribute to the design and automation of digital tools by setting up data products, evaluating data and supporting system updates to enhance process efficiency.
- You serve as the main contact for internal stakeholders on classification matters and provide expert advice across business units, regulatory affairs and supply chain functions.
- Additionally, you analyze product data, maintain classification records in SAP GTS and EHS and ensure system accuracy and development.
- Furthermore, you work closely with cross-functional teams to continuously optimize customs-related processes and contribute to global compliance and risk mitigation initiatives.
- You contribute to training sessions, promote knowledge sharing across global customs teams and support projects with regulatory relevance and technical complexity
- Lastly, you participate in classification audits, prepare documentation and support internal as well as external reporting requirements.
WHAT YOU OFFER
- master’s degree in chemical engineering, chemistry or a comparable field
- several years of experience in customs classification or a related area
- expert knowledge in customs classification and basic understanding of relevant markets and industries
- strong skills in SAP GTS and EHS; ideally also familiar with OTC
- very good language skills in German and English
- experience in project management and confident presentation skills
