We are seeking an experienced distribution executive to lead our new team in Munich, supporting international TV distribution across German-speaking Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and Central & Eastern Europe (CEE). This role will help establish and grow our local team while working in close collaboration with other AMSD teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead and develop a local team in Munich, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Support television licensing across German-speaking Europe and CEE, making recommendations to AMSD leadership regarding the distribution of both Amazon MGM Studios' original productions and MGM's renowned film and television catalog
- Support the development and implementation of AMSD’s territory plan and vision for German-speaking Europe and CEE, working in close coordination with the London and U.S. teams.
- Support complex and high-stakes dealmaking with major clients in German-speaking Europe and CEE
- Identify, evaluate, and make recommendations to AMSD leadership regarding licensing opportunities that will help maximize the value of our content across various platforms in the assigned territories, including Amazon Local Original Productions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders across German-speaking Europe and CEE
- Mentor team members and contribute to their professional development
About the team
The Amazon MGM Studios Distribution department, launched in 2023, is a dynamic division within the Prime Video US and Global organization. We manage an extensive portfolio of premium content, overseeing the television licensing of both Amazon MGM Studios' original productions and MGM's renowned film and television catalog. Our diverse portfolio spans iconic franchises like James Bond, Rocky, and Creed, acclaimed series such as The Handmaid's Tale and Fargo, and highly anticipated upcoming theatrical releases including Project Hail Mary, Masters of the Universe, and The Thomas Crown Affair.
We are excited to establish a local team in Munich, which will help us to better serve our partners and customers in the region. The Munich team will work in close collaboration with our established London team, which supports all distribution activities across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India (EMEA).

- Experience developing and managing a high-performing team
- Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading cross-functional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals
- Experience working independently and collaborating effectively in a remote team environment
- Experience in relationship management and negotiation
- Extensive experience in content distribution, sales, or related field, with a focus on German-speaking Europe and CEE markets
- Strong understanding of the television landscape and market dynamics in German-speaking Europe
- Fluent in English and German
- Additional Central or Eastern European language skills
