Our key goal is to drive adoption and growth across a range of self-service, cost-per-click advertising products. We are seeking a creative and result oriented Senior Marketing lead - German speaking to steer SMB Marketing for our Germany business. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end performance and strategy for SMB advertisers in Germany. You will work closely with stakeholders worldwide and locally to achieve key business objectives. As part of this position, you will develop deep insights into local advertisers and partner with various stakeholders. This will enable you to define strategic priorities and a roadmap to accelerate DE performance for SMBs, aligning it with some of Amazon's best-performing regions. The role is based in Germany but will require interaction with our global teams in Asia, Europe, and North America.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong passion for data and customer insights. They will leverage these to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies that achieve key business goals. You will approach this role with a customer-first mindset, seeking to understand pain points, gaps, and identify opportunities. You will proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, demonstrating sound judgment in escalating issues when appropriate. To be successful, you'll need to be an excellent communicator who can earn the trust of key stakeholders across multiple teams. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, working autonomously, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to prioritize effectively will be crucial, as you contribute to ambitious growth plans. If you are organized, analytical, and eager to own and drive the end-to-end regional strategy for SMB advertisers in Germany, this is an excellent opportunity for you.
Key job responsibilities
• Create strategic SMB priorities and roadmap for the region/marketplace based on key insights
• Own day-to-day partnerships and reviews with local sales and other stakeholder teams
• Develop and execute cross- channel marketing strategy based on customer insights and business priorities
• Own analysis of business performance against key goals including insights/callouts for Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
• Prepare for business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress, roadblocks, and action plans
• Analyse the impact and results of initiatives impacting the program, and share results with senior leaders and stakeholders
- German & English language fluency
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or other related area
- Relevant experience in driving strategic programs or marketing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to communicate persuasively and to influence others, particularly amongst senior stakeholders
- Ability to own and develop marketing strategies and plans
- Proficient in MS Office and Analytical skills in EXCEL and Basic SQL knowledge to review and analyze data.
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or other related area
- Previous advertising or retail experience
- Advanced SQL knowledge
- Proven ability to dive deep and identify root cause gaps and drive solutions that improve customer experience and drive business results.
- Passion for e-commerce and digital marketing and a track record of delivering outstanding results.
