Key job responsibilities
- Lead sustainability projects for Amazon Germany, with special focus on donation programs. Identify new opportunities, develop strategic plans, and enable key decisions to advance these initiatives.
- Lead and further develop DE's Good for Good (GFG) donation program. Drive metric development, success measurement, and cross-functional alignment to deliver measurable social and business impact.
- Architect and oversee operational frameworks for GFG, including automated tracking systems and streamlined partner processes.
- Anchor GFG product requirements in technical roadmaps to ensure consistent development aligned with program goals. Establish and maintain key technical partnerships. Secure technical resources and leadership support for program scaling through strong cross-functional partnerships.
- Execute expansion strategies beyond DE-Retail, identifying high-impact opportunities and developing compelling business cases. Review with Sr. leadership. Drive executive engagement through compelling narratives and actionable insights.
About the team
DE Strategy & Innovation is a central team under the DE Country VP, owning country wide functions and programs as well as EU business streams.
- Master's degree in a technical, analytical, business, sustainability or any related discipline .
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of Product Management experience; demonstrated experience in stakeholder management across multiple business units; highly comfortable managing and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strategic & Analytical Capabilities: Strong business acumen as well as strategic and conceptual thinking; demonstrated ability to develop quantitative frameworks; strong analytical capabilities; comfortable building from scratch and leading initiatives with autonomy in ambiguous environments.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding; knowledge in SQL (ETL/Cradle/Athena) and/or experience with R, Python or similar scripting languages.
- Communication & Language Skills: fluent English language skills; Advanced written communication skills in English, particularly in crafting reviews, narratives and strategic documents; German language proficiency required.
- Knowledge of disposition funnel and systems, particularly related to processes of donations and waste avoidance.
- Knowledgeable in the wider field of sustainability and/or sustainability perception.
- Knowledgeable in Amazon's logistic processes.
