Merchant Solutions Technology

The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities). As part of our new team within the Berlin Tech Hub you will be responsible for technical design, coding, automated unit testing and integration and will liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with amazing people in a diverse, passionate and collaborative team in an agile framework. 

• Innovate and develop the platform underpinning our services and products.

• Lead your team by example: mentor and guide team members and foster a positive culture that drives innovation.

• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders from all the company and manage the product lifecycle all the way from inception to production.

• Shape the future of our technology stack and solve complex problems together with your team. 

Your skills and experiences

• Experience of working with cloud deployment - in particular Google Cloud Platform.

• Hands-on experience of container orchestration systems specially Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of REST APIs and Message driven architectures.

• Experience of version controlling with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps.

• An advocate of agile processes and promotor of best practices that aims at building software with high quality in an incremental manner - for example by employing TDD or BDD.

• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; German language knowledge would be a plus.
