Position Objective

Porsche Motorsport North America Internship opportunities are designed to promote both career development and functional expertise for the intern, as well as to complete project-related and day-to-day support for the department. We are looking for ambitious students seeking to make an impact on strategic projects in a fast-paced industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Becoming familiar with the Porsche product line, including 911 GT3 Cup, Porsche 911 GT3 R and Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport RS models.
  • Working in direct contact with the PMNA Technical Support team for all documentation and information flow between the track support team and the other PMNA departments.
  • Data processing and analysis, creating technical reports.
  • Administration of the PMNA quality management system. Documentation of quality issues of Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, Porsche 911 GT3 R and Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport RS models. Working with teams to provide solutions to quality issues.
  • Administration of shipping & receiving of parts and components from and to customers.
  • Creating technical memos for customer information and training. File and update all technical memos from Porsche AG (PAG).
  • Race reporting and evaluations of the current Porsche Carrera Cup and Sprint Challenge race series.
  • Learning the data logging systems of Cosworth / Bosch and other related software.
  • The possibility of traveling to races to assist technical support team in the race environment.
  • Becoming familiar with the North American motorsports industry and interacting with Porsche teams in a technical support role.
  • General administrative tasks as required.
  • Exposure and opportunity to learn about all areas of the PMNA business, including technical support, platform development, parts and logistics, workshop and dyno.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Travel

  • Minimal travel may be required but not guaranteed

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • This job operates in an automotive workshop and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, automotive parts at operational temperature and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.

Candidates for this position must be available for a full-time (40 hours per week), 6 month on-site position.

Target start date is March 2026

The pay range for this position is $19 - $21 per hour plus overtime and is dependent on education status.

QualificationsQualifications

Qualifications:

Education

  • Engineering education focus and/or background
  • Completed a minimum of 3 years of unversity level courses

Experience

  • Automotive industry exposure
  • Hands-on automotive experience i.e. Formula SAE/ Formula Student or some mechanical experience
  • Interest in a career in motorsports
  • Some basic programming experience preferred
  • Porsche specific experience helpful

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills in English
  • Excels in Customer Service, good listening and communication skills
  • Teamwork – ability to positively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook
