In automated driving state of the art deep neural networks (DNNs) are used for perception tasks. Methods that improve robustness and reliability of such DNNs are important to ensure that they are suitable for series production. You will evaluate and work on multi modal sensor fusion approaches. Evaluations are about performance, robustification, uncertainty estimation and interpretability. What awaits you? Close collaboration in a team within the BMW research department. Work with state of the art DNNs. Explore research approaches to robustness and reliability of DNNs. What should you bring along? Strong knowledge in machine learning. Good programming skills.
