AI Enablement Working Student (m/f/d)

We as Global Digital Services enable BASF’s digitalization. In agile teams, we develop innovative digital solutions for BASF and its customers, create new exciting customer experiences and business growth, and drive efficiencies in processes. We provide IT that works and offer know-how and access to latest technologies in the areas of cloud computing, blockchain or big data.

As a part of the Product Team, you work with the state-of-the-art machine learning models and LLMs to develop chatbots and cognitive product search within our application platform.

• In your new role you implement and experiment with Natural language Processing (NLP) solutions for form extraction and in-document search as well as ensure a stable and sustainable API-Layer for the applications.
• You design, train and operationalize the ML solutions to enhance their accuracy and performance for the chemical industry.
• Moreover, you collaborate with Business Partners to continuously keep up with new demands.
• In addition, you work with methods like Scrum, Kanban and pair-programming in a global team.

• currently enrolled in master’s program either in Machine learning, Computer science or equivalent
• sound programming skills in Python to use state-of-the art document databases (like MongoDB) and search technology (like elasticsearch) to create scalable state-of-the-art applications
• good knowledge of modern machine learning techniques, including practical application at scale and experience with machine learning frameworks and python libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, Pytorch, spacy, scikit-learn, genism)
• know-how in Kafka, Docker, GIT, CI/CD and experience in building scalable solutions using Knowledge Graphs is a plus
• positive attitude and mindset to challenge the status quo to drive innovation as well as continuously improve the built solutions
