Tasks
What you'll do:
Support implementation of local/regional operations plans and worldwide handling strategy
Monitor Lufthansa Cargo operational performance, subcontractors, cost/service KPIs and products
Drive process improvements in export/import cargo services and warehouse operations
Liaise with Ground Handling Agent to ensure service standards and resolve handling issues
Communicate with Lufthansa Cargo customers on imports/exports, express, and special cargo
Maintain quality standards, documentation, and adherence to Lufthansa Cargo procedures
Support budget planning, KPI dashboards, and local process enhancements

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have
High school diploma/GED
University Degree or equivalent higher education diploma is a plus
3-6 years’ of export and import warehouse operations experience
Knowledge of warehouse and logistics management
Strong computer skills
Fluency in Italian and English; German is a plus
Strong problem-solving, professionalism, reliability, and independence
Committed, flexible, and able to excel in dynamic environments
Highly desirable
Direct operations and/or cargo handling experience at FCO airport, including handling special shipments and key customer accounts
Strong relationship management with Rome and/or Italy local stakeholders, and experience in budgeting, cost control, KPI monitoring, and working with service providers
Familiarity with cargo systems, cargo KPIs, and CargoIQ
Knowledge of the cargo industry, including handling and airport facilities
Familiarity with Italy’s cargo market and FCO airport operations; certifications for special cargo handling are a plus
CHM/GOM qualification
