About the Team

The German Verticals team is responsible for the B2C business (i.e. from business sellers to consumers) of eBay Germany (ebay.de). The team is organized by industries (‘Verticals’, such as Consumer Electronics, Home & Garden, Fashion, or Motors) and horizontal teams such as trading and planning functions.

We are currently recruiting for our newly established Refurb team in Berlin/ Dreilinden a Business Development Manager Refurb (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the vertical teams and drive category growth, translating our verticals strategy to execution
  • Identify and develop new partnership & business development opportunities to grow Refurb Inventory and Sales on eBay.de
  • Develop existing strategic sellers and acquire new ones to optimize Refurb inventory offered on the platform by sellers
  • Define future growth opportunities for Refurb by analysing market developments
  • Take a holistic view on performance of current partnerships and develop partners along predefined objectives
  • Define key metrics for success and be responsible for those
  • Collaborate successfully internally across cross-functional, multi-national teams within the matrix organization at eBay
  • Attending trade shows and fairs

Requirements

You will have:

  • University degree in Economics, Business Management or comparable experience
  • 5+ years of Business Development experience or equivalent
  • Experience in an e-commerce environment
  • Strong commercial thinking and analytics skills
  • Effective presentation and communication skills in German and English
  • Relevant experience in the field of strategic partnerships
  • Proven track of successfully negotiated and closed deals in your previous jobs
  • An ability to develop a long-term vision together with internal and external partners
  • Outstanding communication style to bring together people from various backgrounds
  • Team player attitude with strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to navigate organizational structures in a global context
