The Cross Platform Services domain includes, among others, the products Database, File Transfer, and Document Management. Furthermore, it is responsible for the development and operation of Group-wide solutions for data storage and management.   What awaits you? You will be responsible for ensuring the stability and continuous development of PostgreSQL database solutions in an international team. In the role you design the cloud architecture of our PostgreSQL solutions on Azure and AWS and show responsibility for that. Part of your job is to administer and further secure/harden our PostgreSQL database landscape. You will develop and implement security concepts in the PostgreSQL database environment. Furthermore, you will provide technical support and product consulting for our database projects. Active management of external service providers is part of your duties. The further development of the database strategy completes this interesting field of activity.   What you should bring along? A degree in computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification. At least 6 years of practical experience in the administration of PostgreSQL databases. Strong skills and years of practical development experience with Unix shell scripting, PostgreSQL SQL and/or PL/SQL. Extensive experience with cloud architectures in the database environment. Experience in working with Linux derivatives. Experience with the PostgreSQL cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS and/or Azure). Initial experience in the administration of other database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server and/or DB2 would be an advantage.
