A DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of an organization’s IT infrastructure. They bridge the gap between development and operations, focusing on streamlining processes, enhancing collaboration, and optimizing software delivery that are key for achieving Deutsche Bank’s future state Anti Financial Crime capabilities.

Your key responsibilities

Automated Deployment:

• Deploy applications, microservices, and infrastructure components using automation tools.
• Maintain version control for code and configuration files.

Infrastructure Management:

• Provision and manage cloud resources (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.

Release Management:

• Coordinate software releases, ensuring smooth transitions between development, staging, and production environments.
• Rollback changes when necessary.

Containerization and Orchestration:

• Use tools like Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
• Scale applications dynamically based on demand.

Collaborative Problem-Solving:

• Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack (network, servers, databases, applications).
• Collaborate with teams to resolve incidents promptly.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor system performance metrics (CPU, memory, disk, network).
• Optimize configurations for better resource utilization.

Your skills and experiences

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI).
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet).

Cloud Platforms:

• Hands-on experience with cloud providers (preferably Google Cloud).
• Understanding of cloud services (compute, storage, networking).

Security Mindset:

• Awareness of security best practices (encryption, access controls, secure APIs).
• Knowledge of compliance requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving and Adaptability:

• Analytical thinking to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Adaptability to evolving technologies and industry trends.
