Corporate Bank (CB) Technology

CB Technology is a global team of technology specialists, spread across multiple financial centers and technology centres. We have a strong focus on promoting technical excellence – our engineers work at the forefront of financial services innovation using cutting-edge technologies. 

The Chief Operating Officer, Corporate Bank Technology holds a head of function responsibility for driving the day-to-day operations of the CB Technology division. They partner directly with the Head of the Division (CIO Corporate Bank Technology) to develop and execute the divisional strategy.  They will oversee development and deployment of divisional budgets, manage both internal and external technology relationships, address emerging program challenges, provide thought leadership, and enable collaboration for and beyond the organizational boundaries.

Your key responsibilities

  • Advise strategy and priorities in-line with Group goals and steer execution

  • Drive organisational set-up and Target Operating Model to deliver the mandate (incl. workforce composition and location)

  • Manage budget, FTE, enforce cost controls and drive efficiencies & resource strategy

  • Actively manage efficiency and capacity KPIs and drivers

  • Lead monthly & annual forecast planning process

  • Drive divisional people strategy (i.e., Culture & Talent)

  • Interface to HR and steer hiring, talent management, DEI, succession, and promotions

  • Run annual compensation process

  • Identify opportunities for change

  • Set change priorities with ExCo and Corporate Bank partners

  • Provide expertise to change execution team

  • Align and realise benefits of change delivery

Your skills and experiences

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Fluent in English (written/verbal)

  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations

  • Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
