As an Engineering Manager, you will: Recruit, coach and mentor. Attract new talents to join our unit. Constantly inspire and support your team members in adopting latest engineering practices and tools. Having an excellent understanding of the underlying technologies will help you to be an active participant helping your team members to achieve their goals and aspirations. Collaborate and communicate effectively. Identify your stakeholder and work closely with them, providing technical guidance to the product strategy, roadmap and architecture. Build transparency and manage changes by being able to successfully communicate without losing the intent and meaning of the message. Build bridges, not silos. Maintain a trust-building mindset of finding solutions together and remove obstacles preventing a global collaboration. Inherently believe that the effort of everyone is the basis for a joint success. Partner up to assure the completion of experience-rich products in quality, on time and on budget. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Required skills University degree in computer science, engineering or similar area Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German (verbal and written ) Exceptional interpersonal skills: open-minded, team player, result oriented, motivated to work in an international and diverse environment Extensive experience with leading people and scrum teams in larger projects Proven track record of concepting, developing, delivering and operating (micro-) services in the Cloud Preferred skills Multiple years of experience as people manager in a mid/large-sized global enterprise Experience with coaching teams in agile methods Experience with engineering platform services with an outstanding user experience using Cloud-native technologies Work Experience At least 10 years of experience in software and/or product engineering At least 5 years of experience in software project and/or product management in an agile set up ABOUT THE TEAM Join a diverse and thriving team of engineers, product managers, go-to-market specialists and designers to build SAP’s new offering for hyperautomation.
