A Snapshot of Your Day
You will assist with the interpretation of site-specific QA requirements, verify QA plan implementation, and evaluate effectiveness through audits and assessments related to Voith Hydro sites. You will be responsible for quality-related site activities, tests, and the inclusion of appropriate inspections and their acceptance criteria into project documentation, which will be deployed into the Supply Chain.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Review customer specifications and applicable legal/statutory requirements (quality-related) and compare them to Voith Hydro standards, aiming to identify key relationships and any differences. Ensure proper requirements management and compliance.
- Review and issue site-specific Quality Plans and documentation (Inspection & Test Plans, QS, MGS).
- Support the development of site-specific Quality strategies and schedules, ensuring that all relevant quality activities and requirements are considered and aligned with overall strategies.
- Support, facilitate, and review Site Process FMEAs, verification and validation reports, ensuring proper method application, risk analysis and classification, definition of actions, and their implementation.
- Participate in key project-related meetings (e.g., design reviews) and provide quality-related input.
- Ensure, through process audits and verifications within VH sites and based on site-specific data analysis, that quality is incorporated into processes.
- Drive, support, and facilitate continuous improvement activities within VH sites, based on site-specific data analysis.
- Ensure project lessons learned (both positive and negative) are documented and that necessary changes to the management system are implemented.
- Support, review, and release the site-specific Quality Data Book.
- Coordinate internal and external inspection personnel (as required) according to the ITP, including NDT, electrical, and dimensional inspections.
- Manage inspections in the IT system.
- Support calibration and measurement systems management at the site.
- Support, on demand and based on his/her capabilities, Quality Department tasks and priorities defined by the Quality Engineering Manager and Head of Quality and/or VH Quality.
What You Bring
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Administration (desirable).
- Relevant work experience in Quality Management & Quality Engineering.
- Relevant professional experience and knowledge of business processes, as well as in non-quality functions such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Engineering, and Purchasing.
- Successful qualification in auditing (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 19011, VDA 6.3).
- Qualification in electrical, dimensional, and NDT testing.
- Practical knowledge in using IT tools: SharePoint, SAP, MS Office, and database tracking programs.
- Good Lean Management background is an advantage.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Fluent English, written and spoken (additional languages are an advantage).
- Strong analytical expertise, as well as a results-oriented, solution-driven (pragmatic), and customer-oriented working approach.
- Willingness to travel frequently for business, more than 50% of the time.
